Wills/ Lasting Powers of Attorney/Court of Protection

Welegal can also help with important family documents used to prepare for the future.
Wills
Everyone with any assets should have a will and should check it every few years or when family changes occur.
We can advise on your options and help with tax planning before preparing a draft for your approval.
Usually costs £70 to £100 all in.
Lasting Powers of Attorney
If you need help to deal with your finances or property or someone in your family would like some help, a Lasting Power of Attorney is needed.
This procedure has been complicated by many government changes to prevent fraud and expert guidance is recommended.
We can prepare and register the document to make it effective. We also help as the Certificate Provider confirming we are happy that the person signing is not under pressure or too ill to sign. The Office Of the Public Guardian recognises our experience in these matters and we have given this crucial confirmation in many cases.
LPA's cost £350 each including registration and acting as the Certificate Provider to the Court, but we offer a reduced rate of £600.00 for two and £1000 for four allowing a couple to gain full cover with best value for money.
Court of Protection
Where it is too late to sign a Lasting Power, we can help with the application to court needed to appoint someone to deal with the affairs of the family member. This again is a complex procedure designed to reduce fraud and we help with all forms and procedures along the way.
The Court of Protection process costs £350 assuming no court hearings are needed.
